Bicycle route, bicycle touring

We start the route in Riu a l'Ebre, going along the riverside promenade with the Ebro on our left, we continue to find the bridge "Lo Passador", and cross the path with the bike path.

We pass in front of Raco del Riu restaurant and we take the riverside walk that follows the river on our left- and it is asphalted until the end of the village, Sant Jaume d'Enveja. At the end of the asphalted stretch we find a soil road bordered by a wooden railing. The road goes parallel to the river, although most of the way it can't be seen.

We arrive at one of the last river forests preserved, known as "Bosquet", with native species, and, then you arrive at Mas de la Comandanta, one majestic construction surrounded by rice fields. We continue during about 7 km until the end of the Sirga path, At this point we find a metal structure used as small bridge and we cross the irrigation canal where we turn left to reach the road that brings us closer to the Migjorn beach.

On the way just 6 km we arrived at the end of our route, it is recommended to stop in the Alfacada viewpoint, which offers the possibility to observe the Buda Island and the countless birds that congregate there and with a piece of luck the Camargue horses. During the summer you have to take a dip in one of the most beautiful beaches in the Delta.
